Thanks from Peter Vial

I would like to thank my initial sponsors Elwood Clothing and Buncorp Global for supporting the China 2008 Olympic Charity Ride to Beijing with donations of $5,000 each.

After a small operation four weeks ago I was off the training circuit for two weeks, but have been able to do 250kms the first week back and 220 this week. I am also training 3 days in the gym to gain cross training benefits.

With four weeks to go the pressure is on!!!

This is the second Olympic Charity ride for majority of the group and with a month to go we are well and truly in training mode! This weekend the extreme member of the group, Rod Thomas, rode from Melbourne to Portsea and back (via Arthurs Seat!) on Saturday - a distance of over 200kms. Rod then backed it up on Sunday with an 87 km “fast” ride. Majority of Team Hope covered between 100 and 180kms for the weekend. Read about the group’s first Olympic Charity ride.

Map of ChinaWelcome to the Project Hope China 2008 Olympic Charity Ride site. It is a great passion of mine to add value to the community by doing interesting things with interesting people – and this next adventure is no exception.

Over seven days we will cycle 1,100kms from Shanghai to Beijing, raising money through Australian Volunteers International (AVI) for Project Hope.
