The Lost Battlefield update

Those involved with the Journey to the Lost Battlefield earlier this year are proud to announce that forensic investigation and documentation of the site will commence next month. I will be returning to Papua New Guinea for joint talks with the Australian, Japanese and Papua New Guinea governments. The Bayside Leader features an article by Fiona Sexton outlining these current developments. View the article here.

    David,

Enjoyed the story and slideshow down at McLaren Vale. You should touch base with Peter Fitz – another Kokoda fascinate – and compare notes. I refered him to your website article fyi. You two are both forging your own paths but perhaps there is a collaboration here in due course?

Unfortunately my legs kept me from spending time alongside you on the bike – and then navigation skills eluded me, so got lost with 2 others & was late back to hotel. Doh.

Dirt roads & my bike? Version 2. We rode 2k on a dirt road on the Saturday. I managed to flat both tyres bouncing into a rut on the downhill. MTB it ain’t. Your friend Steve(?) fared better on the Amy G ride I recall.

M Weber must have been dissappointed. Sugar in petrol ? Conspiracy grows :-)

    Stay well !

    Peter B.
