The advent of social media, facilitated by mobile communications has dramatically changed the nature of the way in which community and charity organisations interact with their constituents. Community and charitable organisations have been some of the most innovative users of social media to drive fundraising, brand awareness and community connection.

This section of my site aims to highlight some of the best practices in the use of social media by community and charity organisations globally. I aim to bring an executive perspective to which tools are effective and why and ways social media is being integrated into the way the “third sector” engages with its constituents.
